San Luis Ambulance is committed to providing continuing education (CE) opportunities to our staff and all allied agencies. We hold monthly CE classes during the last week of every month on a rotating daily schedule (Monday through Friday) at the training room in our headquarters office from 9-11 am. The topics vary from the interests of field staff to topics stemming from Quality Improvement (QI) reviews, and we include opportunities to update CPR with our certified instructors.
San Luis Ambulance hosts an Advanced Protocol Review class at least once a year, and maintains training standards suggested by the Emergency Medical Services Agency (EMSA). Annual/bi-annual classes include 12-lead acquisition and interpretation, airway assessment labs, annual HAZMAT recertification, and upcoming Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) training. We are proud of our comprehensive training program and will continue to maintain the standard for our community.
